IMACC Member Qualification Standards

IMACC maintains the highest standard when it comes to our Members. All IMACC Members must meet the following minimum criteria.

  • Be a wholly-owned independent restoration contractor. IMACC Members may not be a part of a national restoration franchise.
  • Perform at least 80 percent of work utilizing your wholly-owned equipment, uniformed technicians, and properly branded trucks.
  • Have been in business for a minimum of two (2) years under the assumed name of the restoration entity for which the application is processed.
  • Clear a Dun & Bradstreet background check for creditworthiness, litigation history, criminal activity, and general business history.
  • Possess verified Certifications in water mitigation and building restoration from the IICRC, ASCR, Vortex, Hydro-Lab, Dri-Zone, and other accredited schools
  • Own and properly maintain all necessary, state-of-the-art equipment in adequate amounts and condition to perform anticipated work volume.
  • Continually train and develop technical and estimating staff and have Certified Technicians on location at the jobsite.
  • Provide a minimum of 4 references – Two insurer references, and two property owner references that directly reflect on the quality of your restoration work.
  • Maintain a minimum $2 million CGL policy covering all employees, vehicles, equipment, and operations. Additional pollution insurance is also desired.
  • Possess and maintain all licensing and bonding as required by the Member's respective state(s) and municipalities.
  • Perform criminal background checks on all employees coming in contact with property owners, their related contents, and client information and provide those reports to IMACC at time of application and periodically during the term of Membership.
  • Require that all employees wear uniforms and carry and display proper identification at all times, presenting identification to property owners prior to entering the property.
  • Verify compliance with all Federal and State employment laws and statutes as well as maintain ongoing education regarding new regulations.
  • Be trained on, utilize, and maintain at least one (1) copy of Xactimate® 25 and comply with Xactware pricing standards. Members should also provide IMACC with all necessary Xactnet addresses and be capable of receiving assignments through XactAnalysis SP.
  • Have an active Internet connection.
    ( DSL, Cable Modem, T1 or better is desired.)
